Moving Challenges for Students is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving Orleans and surrounding parishes, providing inclusive academic support and whole-child programs for students with different strengths, needs, and learning goals.

About Us
Moving Challenges for Students delivers targeted academic support that nurtures the whole child—helping every student thrive, whether they need greater academic challenge, reinforcement in core skills, or specialized strategies for diverse learning styles.
Through individualized educational programs, recreational and home-based support, we help students build strong foundational skills, confidence, and independence.
Our programs are inclusive of all students, including those with Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, gaps in their education, or a desire to advance beyond their current studies.

Our mission is to ensure every child thrives in the classroom and their community. We nurture the whole child by ensuring every student, regardless of how they learn, receives an inclusive education—while empowering their families through dedicated educational advocacy.
We believe inclusion means more than allowing every child into the room. It means creating an environment where students feel welcomed, understood, supported, and genuinely equipped to succeed.
- HOW WE SUPPORT OUR COMMUNITY
Support That Goes Beyond the Classroom
Our work extends beyond tutoring. We provide inclusive year-round afterschool and holiday programs where students can learn alongside their peers, participate in recreation, and strengthen academic and social skills.
We also provide evidence-based training for educators and work with local nonprofits and community agencies to connect families with valuable resources and additional support.

Our team brings together educators, families, professionals, and community partners who share one goal: helping every student reach their potential.
High school and college volunteers also play an important role in our programs, engaging with younger students through academic activities, recreation, encouragement, and positive peer interaction.
